The reason for this decision, as reported by tour promoter Live Nation is that the mother of two is “taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends.”
The tour was supposed to start in mid June and was to promote her latest studio album This Is Me…Now which was released in February.
“I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary,” the 54-year-old shared with fans on her newsletter On The JLo.
“I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time.”
Despite rumors of poor ticket sales, a source informed the Daily Mail that this was not the case and did not influence Lopez’s decision to cancel the tour. However, according to Variety, the singer had previously canceled seven dates — Cleveland, Nashville, Raleigh, Atlanta, Tampa, New Orleans and Houston — back in March.
“Jennifer made this tough decision this week, and she’s sorry to her fans,” the source said.
Ticketmaster will automatically refund fans who bought their tickets through their website. Those who purchased tickets from third-party resale sites will need to get in touch with the place of purchase for more information.
The most recent public appearance of the couple was on May 30, on their way to the graduation party of Affleck and ex-wife, Jennifer Garner‘s, daughter Violet who graduated from high school recently.
