Tori Spelling Moves Out of $15K-a-Month Home Neighbors Claim She ‘Trashed’ — A Rare Glimpse Inside

  • Tori Spelling and her five kids recently moved out of a $15,000-a-month home. Neighbors said she left it in a messy state.
  • Fans are also talking about serious accusations related to the “trashed” home.
  • Explore the modern house where Spelling lived after staying in a motel and RV with her children.

In 2024, Tori Spelling and her five kids—Liam, Stella, Hattie, Finn, and Beau—left their $15,000-per-month rental home. The “Beverly Hills 90210” actress moved out of the modern, two-story home after living there for seven months.

The remodeled house is 3,000 square feet and has five bedrooms, three bathrooms, a pool, and a spa. It was fully furnished when Spelling and her kids moved in.

Spelling’s departure from this luxurious residence isn’t surprising, as the actress is known for frequently moving homes. After leaving her marital home, Spelling was seen leaving a $100-a-night motel with her five kids.

Leaving the modest motel was a big contrast to Spelling’s childhood. She grew up in one of Los Angeles’ most luxurious mansions, The Manor, located in the prestigious Holmby Park neighborhood.

Spelling looked visibly sad as she stood outside the roadside hotel with her kids. In July 2023, she revealed that they had to leave their family home because of a mold problem. The mom of five revealed on Instagram that mold had made her family sick for months.

At first, she thought the constant illness was because her young kids were bringing home germs from school. However, the situation worsened when her youngest children were often too sick to attend school.

They experienced symptoms like dizziness and excessive sleeping. This led them to investigate further and get a mold inspection of their home. Spelling ended up in a motel because she needed a temporary place to stay while looking for a permanent solution.

Unfortunately, after leaving the motel, the 51-year-old and her kids ended up living in an RV in California. Spelling was seen at a campground in Ventura County in a Sunseeker E450 RV, enjoying an early cup of coffee.

Spelling was seen driving the RV to the campground where they were staying and drying clothes outside before preparing dinner. Later, the actress drove to a local Walmart to stock up on supplies, accompanied by her daughter Stella. They were seen pushing a grocery cart filled with plastic bags.

Sunseeker RVs typically have a dinette in the living room that can turn into extra sleeping space. The sofas can also be transformed into beds, which is useful for Spelling’s children. In larger models, there’s a kids’ sofa sleeper that converts into a bunk bed. The Sunseeker E450 RV has a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and living room.

Life After Living in an RV

After living in an RV, Spelling and her children moved into the $15,000-per-month rental home, which they reportedly left in a messy state. When they moved in, Spelling paid a $7,500 security deposit, which might have also been a fee for the short-term rental. She then settled into the lovely home.

The house had a grand entryway with a large staircase, a luxurious chandelier, and hardwood floors extending throughout the area. The real estate listing also described the home as an entertainer’s paradise, with a kitchen equipped with two ovens, double sinks, ample counter space, and seating for 16.

The home offered abundant room for large families and groups to unwind and spread out comfortably. Additionally, it included a garage, central air conditioning, and all essential appliances.

Fortunately for Tori Spelling, the property permitted both cats and dogs. However, there was no indication that her extensive collection of pets from Hidden Hills was allowed.

Tori Spelling’s ‘Trashed’ House That Upset Neighbors

Spelling’s habit of moving homes led her to leave the $15, 000-a-month-residence too. However, the actress was accused of leaving it in a mess, upsetting her neighbors. Photos show piles of discarded furniture, cushions, and other household items scattered in front of the house on the otherwise well-kept street.

Some of the furnishings, like a taupe sectional sofa shown in real estate photos, were stripped and dirty, left on the street for trash pickup. There were also pet carriers, a random DVD, children’s toys, and more.

Neighborhood sources say the inside of the home is just as bad. A big dumpster used to collect garbage was filled multiple times after Spelling moved out.

One neighbor said they were sure Spelling would not get her deposit back because the house was “completely trashed.” The neighbor added, “The smell of urine is everywhere, on the couch cushions and inside the home. There are marks all over the walls, from who knows what.”

How Tori Spelling’s Habits Contributed to Her Divorce

Spelling’s messy habits were also a problem in her marriage to her estranged husband, actor Dean McDermott. The two had been married since 2006, but by 2017, financial troubles, McDermott’s drinking problems, and Spelling’s pets were driving them apart.

The actor said the problems were because of the animals in the bedroom, often on the bed. There was a pig, a chicken living in the bathroom, and several dogs.

McDermott noted that dogs have accidents, and theirs had many. He found it hard to manage, so he moved to another bedroom. He and his wife started sleeping in different rooms.

McDermott explained, “I drew that boundary for myself and moved to another room and things just progressed from there. There were no efforts to sort of remedy the problem to get back into the room.”

As a result, the couple grew emotionally distant, becoming more like roommates than partners by the time their marriage fell apart. The actor spent more time alone, which led to increased drinking while Spelling focused on the children.

Both retreated into their own worlds—he with his drinking and she with the kids. They seldom ate meals together, and when they did, it was often fragmented and disconnected.

After a 10-month separation and 18 years of marriage, Spelling filed for divorce. She listed the date of separation as June 17, 2023. Once the news of their breakup came out, Dean McDermott said he and Spelling were doing well but that their divorce had been a long time coming.

Spelling revealed that she told McDermott about the divorce while recording her podcast “misSPELLING.” During the podcast, she spoke to McDermott on the phone and informed fans about her decision to file for divorce.

She said the filing was just a formality. Spelling expressed annoyance over McDermott talking publicly about their divorce. Interestingly, she ended the call with an unexpected “Love you.”

The actress also revealed, “We always say, ‘Hey, it made it 18 years.’ It shouldn’t have made it 18 years,” and admitted that she stayed in the union to protect McDermott and the kids.

The exes first met on the set of the TV movie “Mind Over Murder” in 2005. They were both married at the time but felt a strong attraction. Spelling described their relationship as a whirlwind romance, saying they fell deeply in love very quickly.

They married in May 2006 and welcomed their son Liam in 2007. Their family grew with four more kids. However, Spelling noted that their relationship changed after having children and was never quite the same.

They ventured into reality TV with “Tori & Dean: Inn Love” in 2007, where they ran a bed and breakfast. Spelling talked about the challenges of balancing family life and career, moving from a Hollywood persona to a more family-oriented figure.

Despite their public image, their relationship was falling apart behind the scenes. The couple tried therapy but couldn’t save their marriage. McDermott struggled with alcohol and prescription medication, which made their problems worse.

His struggles with alcoholism eventually contributed to the breakdown of their relationship. Later, at 57, the actor became an advocate and counselor for addiction. However, his and Spelling’s journey, from a passionate start to the challenges of fame and family, ended in separation.

After separating, fans were very concerned about their kids’ well-being, especially after seeing the condition of Spelling’s $ 15, 000-a-month home. Fans voiced their worries on social media, reflecting on how the living conditions might affect the kids’ health and stability.

One concerned user remarked“She needs to start taking better care of her children’s diets. I guarantee she hasn’t cooked them a homemade meal in years, if ever.”

The user speculated that Spelling fed her kids junk food for all their three daily meals. “It’s not even their fault, and I doubt they exercise. They’re all going to have a very rough life with lots of medical problems to boot,” added the user.

Another user expressed sympathy for the children’s lack of stability, saying “I’m pretty sure her children are not well-mannered or having any civility to them. I don’t blame them. I’m sure it has been terrible for them the last few (years) bouncing from place to place.”

The user noted that it was sad that the kids might not know where they will sleep or what they will eat, adding that it would be interesting to see where Spelling lives next. “Her ex needs to step in and try to get some help for his children. They need stability,” the user pleaded.

The sentiment that both parents should be involved in providing a stable environment was echoed by another commenter, writing“What is wrong with her?? This is SO bad for those kids. They need stability, especially in the wake of a divorce.”

Concerns about the frequent relocations were also highlighted“It’s got to be exhausting for those kids to never be nice & comfortable in a home. Always the threat of having to move… again!”

While many pointed fingers at Spelling for the current state of affairs, others recognized the shared responsibility, writing“Tori absolutely should give her kids a better diet…but Dean wasn’t there to teach his sons about sports, drive them around to games.”

In agreement, another user added“Yup you’re right! I absolutely should’ve put Dean in there too. Especially since he seems to be genetically bulky himself. He’s why they have the gene.”

This user spoke of McDermott’s struggle with alcoholism, saying“Tori at least raised them & was present when they were small (while Dean was out getting hammered).”

Some comments were more critical, reflecting on the perceived behavior of Spelling. A user said“Being married to her, I understand why he was out getting hammered.”

Social media users’ comments show the public’s mixed reactions, blending concern for the children’s well-being with criticisms of both parents. Overall, people agreed on the need for stability and better care for Spelling and McDermott’s children as the two went through their divorce.
