I Met My Ex-fiancé Who Dumped Me Because I ‘Wasn’t Good Enough’ – He Was on a Date & My Revenge Was Hard

Sometimes, karma needs a little push, and I couldn’t resist seizing the perfect opportunity for some playful revenge during a routine night out. I found myself at an exclusive restaurant and spotted my ex-fiancé dining with another woman.

Five years ago, my ex called off our engagement, claiming I “wasn’t good enough” after receiving a promotion. He wanted someone more “cultured” by his side, which was painful at the time, but I eventually moved on with my life.

Fast forward to last Saturday, and there he was, now 35, unmarried, and successful, enjoying a meal at a new restaurant. I decided this was my chance for a little prank. I asked the waiter to bring over a bottle of champagne with a note that said, “To the man who always settles for second best.” His date looked confused as his face turned a shade of crimson.

Knowing about his allergy to certain appetizers, I sent one over with a note saying, “Just a reminder of what you can’t have.” He struggled to explain this to his increasingly irritated date.

For the grand finale, my friend Sarah, who had accompanied me, approached Mark’s table and, pretending to recognize him, asked loudly, “How’s your fiancée doing? Did she finally agree to an open relationship?” His date, looking horrified, stormed out of the restaurant.

I approached Mark’s table with a charming smile. “Hello, I suppose I wasn’t so ‘not good enough’ after all,” I said before triumphantly walking out.

A few days later, I learned that his relationship with Clara had ended. Sometimes, getting even can be sweet, especially when it involves a little bit of embarrassment.
